This was such an amazing day . Its our third trip with Ian . I dont think the smile left my face all day . Thanks Ian for the laughs , the good food , the excitement and all the histories and stories that was told . I would Highly Highly recommend this 4x4 tour. We cant wait for the next tour . Many thanks to Ian, my tour guide today. We were met up in the train station then drove to see Mount Panorama, historical houses, show ground, Abercrombie house and other more. Introduce me the history of inland first settlement city and talked some of the local economics. It was a great day to visit and know more of Bathurst!
I took a Bathurst City Walking tour with Ian Redpath of Detour Adventures. It was a real eye opener. Ian doesn't just take you to the main streets, he takes you through all the back alleys to see hidden sites. On a couple of occasions I wondered where on earth we were going. Ian often has permission from the owners to take you inside. You will definitely see places you would not otherwise see. The other thing is the small details that you would miss like glass windows or the mystery object in the Town Square ...Ian is a long term Bathurst resident and is so passionate about his town. He'll make tours bespoke if people are interested including a lot of research on old maps and things.It was a fascinating couple of hours.
